Overwhelmed

Well, the week is almost over. I just have to get through tomorrow and the day is jammed packs with commitments. All of them are things I’m excited about, but I’m just so overwhelmed from this week that I’m ready to crawl into my bed and stay there all weekend. Alas, I’m going to make myself adult and do what I said I’m going to do! I suspect that Sunday I will be hiding out pretty good though. I don’t have a whole lot more to talk about right now. I’m just ready to get tomorrow over with so I can finally take a day to myself and rest.

Pretty Good Week

This week has been a complete whirlwind. So much has happened in such a small span of time and here we are. It’s Friday already. There’s an abundance of things happening all across the grid this weekend, so I’m sure its going to fly by and Monday will be rearing its head before I’ve had time to blink. It’s been a pretty good week overall. I did have a bout of PTSD and that sucked, but I got through it using the tools I’ve learned in therapy. So, that’s another win. I’m really proud of myself for getting through that as well as I did. All that being said, I’m in a fantastic mood and I’m refusing to let anyone ruin that. I’m going to have a fun filled weekend and get lots of sleep! *nods*

How will we be remembered?

The 1920s are often referred to as the roaring 20s, but I have to wonder how 2020s will be recognized. The coughing 20s? Lord knows this year has been anything but boring, but roaring sure isn’t how I’d describe it. Perhaps this will be the year of DOOM or maybe despair. Each decade of the 20th century holds its own special place in the fashion annuls, but what will we remember about the 21st century. How will we collectively be remembered long after we’re gone?

Working Together

I don’t think I have ever had more fun putting together a decor scene. So, let me just tell you how this happened. My friend, Sassy Wumpkins, was hanging out with me on my platform as I was rezzing stuff out to blog. She started grabbing stuff and arranging it! End of the Hall

I love decorating hallways. Even in real life, my short little humble hallway has art on the walls, a mirror, and a standing jewelry box. Luckily for me, in Second Life, I’m allowed spacious hallways with plenty of nooks to decorate at every turn. Making Room for Pizza

They had moved to the big city with dreams of an exciting nightlife. No one had ever anticipated being locked down over a pandemic. These two had been friends their entire lives and had been through all sorts of heart aches, but nothing had compared to this.

As Sady finished off another donut, she rubbed her tummy and sighed, “Thank God workout clothes are stretchy!”

Stef lifted her leg to let another one rip across the room, “OMG! Right!?!?”

Sady scrunched her nose and laughed, “I should try that, maybe I’d have room for more pizza!”

Stef laughed, “You weren’t supposed to hear that!”

Sady gave her a look, “I heard it, smelled it, and watched you lift your leg like a dog to let it out!”

It was right then, that their little Yorkie, Puddin, let out an outrageously disgusting little fart of her own. I guess she’s making room for pizza, too.

Rearranging

Okay, so the whole social distancing thing is something I’ve been practicing for many years. However, during this time, I have decided that its time for me to rearrange my furniture. My bedroom in rl is rather odd, so there’s really only two walls my bed can be on, but its been on the wall between my windows for years. It’s time to sling it around to the other wall, plus I’ve taken this time to do some spring cleaning…getting rid of things and acquiring new things. *giggles* It’s called recycling! Wait…no, I guess its more like replacing…DON’T JUDGE ME! Anyway, I thought that rearranging furniture would be a great activity for people in RL during this time of rearranging our lives.

Middy’s Room

So, when I was putting this scene together, I immediately knew I needed a unicorn. *sighs* I really don’t like unicorns. Its a long story, but they’re kind of a sort point with me…*giggles*…point…get it? Of course, you do. The instant I put that unicorn in there, I knew this was Middy’s room. I won’t get too much into who Middy is, but I’ll give you a brief description that will help you understand some of the elements of this room. Middy is an amazing woman that loves pink and unicorns, but ironically hangs out with vampires. (Hence, the casket mirror.) I jokingly told her that I built her a bedroom and she’s ready to move in. Sadly, this is created on a platform and is the only room in the house that has furniture in it. I kinda feel like a predator waiting to capture her and keep her hidden away. Though, to be fair, she is a bit of a introvert and might just enjoy that.
