Some goodies!

It would seem that I’ve been bitten by the decor bug again. I’m sure it will pass, it always does. I’ll be back to cranking out fashion pics hand over fist in no time. For now, here’s what I’m serving up today. A magical Easter feast in the park? I dunno man, I just wanted to decorate this table with some of the goodies at Bloom, okay? Why are you giving me the third degree? GAH! *laughs* Yeah, this is very much like a conversation I have with myself.
Anyway…have a good look, everything you see (except background foilage) is from Bloom or TLC (which I now own, in case I haven’t mentioned that). HA! Listen…it’s late…*looks at the clock*…ok, it’s late somewhere! All I know is that I’m tired and feeling exceptionally goofy tired.

Recently I wrote about cutting back on decor blogging. Yet, now that Sassy has been helping me, it has become one of my favorite things to do again. Not just creating a scene, but the back and forth that she and I have while working on it together. I never imagined I could click with someone so well in regards to decor. It just seems like a solo project. Yet, she has the most brilliant ideas and they feed right off of mine. We cut up sooo much while doing, too. We did this entire scene in one hour! The Greenhouse

My aunt used to have this old farmhouse. It had been in her family for many many years. It wasn’t the most beautiful to look at from the outside, but once you were inside you knew that you were in a house made of love. There was also an amazing greenhouse attached to a perfect country kitchen. I loved visiting her and having coffee amidst all the greenery. If I was really lucky, it would rain while I was there. THAT was amazing. Of course, it had to be a light rain. Okay, so it only happened once in all the years I visited, but it was the perfect spring rain. The pitter patter of the water falling on the panels of the build that my uncle had so lovingly constructed was absolute heaven.
This is truly one of my favorite memories of my aunt and uncle. I loved visiting them for a weekend here and there.  My uncle passed away about ten years ago. Since then, my aunt sold that house and moved to a suburb, but I will always remember sitting in that greenhouse with coffee as the sun came up.

So torn

I am so torn right now between the Autumn decor that is everywhere and the holiday decor that is falling across the grid like a steady snowfall. I’m doing my best to squeeze in as much Autumn as I can before we slide into full blown Winter. Naturally, I will need to take a beach break along the way at some point, cuz BIKINIS! I am falling more and more in love with decor by the day. This can’t be a surprise given the influx of decor posts I’ve been dropping lately. Its not my fault. Look at the stuff in this scene! No Manners

Sometimes people simply bewilder me. We all get approached by some pretty odd people in Second Life. Ask anyone, we all have stories. I can’t help but tilt my head to the side like a confused puppy and look at my screen sometimes. Just the other day, I had someone send me a message offering their arm as a snack, because once upon a time my profile suggested that I bite. Naturally, I had no idea what he was talking about and it all went downhill from there.

Did he actually accuse me of having no manners after he called me a name? I have no manners because I did not respond they way he hoped. I have no manners, because my sexy photos are clearly an invitation for men to say whatever they want to me. I have no manners, because I don’t jump at the opportunity to talk to some strange man on the internet. I have no manners, because I doubt the sincerity of someone that couldn’t start his first conversation with me like an adult.

I think he needs a dictionary, because if he knew what manners were and had any himself…well, he wouldn’t have approached me as he did. Nor would he have thrown a tantrum when he didn’t get his way. I’m curious if his ridiculous approach works on other women and who taught him this crap?

Little Boxes

I love this new build by Bad Unicorn so much, that I made it my home in SL. I wanted something that could sit on the water and look different. So, I slapped some ivy on the exterior walls. I honestly don’t have a lot to say, except that I love when creators make something that seems so simple, yet feels like a piece of art at the same time. It might look like a box to some, but to me its a canvas and I love it so much. I challenge you all to grab this build and show how you can make it different.

Habits

We all develop habits over time. Some are good, some are not so good. Now you’ll find it commonly said that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. I always thought something was wrong with me, because this has never worked for me. I’ve had a real issue with forgetting to take my morning medicines. The older you get, the more you have to take. I’m to the point that I’m filling a pill pot each week, just so I know what to take and when. I had a friend reminding me every morning, but even that didn’t always work. Finally, I came up with a system that seems to be working and it did indeed only take a few weeks to establish. I rarely forgot my night meds as the pill pot was on my nightstand. However, I found that if after taking my night meds, I put the pill pot on my desk then I will see and be reminded in the morning. Afterall, that first cup of coffee and that first cigarette of the day go perfectly with my morning computer routine.
