The Lucky Ones

I’m going through a really hard time in real life, one of the hardest ever. Yet, I don’t need a drug to escape, thought I won’t deny they help…they are not an option for everyone. That’s a topic for another time. I was just thinking how lucky I am to have this amazing community of like minded people from all over the world. I have so many wonderful friends I can turn to for times like these. That know my story, my situation, they’ve watched it unfold, they’ve shared my triumphs and my failures. The know me, they love me, and they truly do support me.
If you don’t have that in Second Life, I highly recommend you work on some friendships, because no matter how hard things get, I know I’m lucky to have them. We are the lucky ones, because we have each other. So, pardon my language for a minute while I do a quick shout out to the Cunts and the MF’n MF’rs.  Thank you. ♥

I think its important to remember that, because we are constantly faced with choices from monumental life altering choices to the tiniest things like flipping our hair or smiling at a stranger. Some choices are going to carry far more weight than the others. So, I think its important to remember those consequences as we approach the weekend.

VolleyBall and Hot Dogs

I’ve said it many times about how blessed I am to have such amazing friends. That’s never been more evident than when I sent out a notice giving them one day to toss on some beach wear and come pose for a photo in which they probably won’t even be recognized.  Not only did they show up, but we had so much fun shooting this photo. My four closes friends were there without question and that makes me love them all the more. This is not a fashion post and I’m not going to bother trying to list what everyone is wearing. Especially since this photo is all about the VolleyBall game and the hot dog thief. Clearly, Dusty is too distracted by bouncing girls in bikinis to notice the pups stealing…lol…oh and if you know Dusty, you know that this is where he would roll his cartoon eyes. *smirks*

Moving On Up

I could hardly do a post about moving and not get the Jefferson’s theme song stuck in my head. I don’t have a whole lot to say about moving except that I’m glad I don’t have to do it anymore. I imagine I’ll spend the rest of my life in this condo. It’s paid for…in full. I remember moving quite a bit as a kid and all through my 20s and my favorite part of moving was unpacking in the new place. That’s the one thing I’ll miss about moving, but otherwise, I’m glad to have a place that is genuinely my home and know that I don’t have to pack up and leave again.
