I’m speaking on a BVN panel later today. The panel is about Blog Management and I suppose I’m a bit of an authority on the topic since I’ve been doing it for years now. I absolutely love being a blog manager, so I’m both honored and humbled to be asked to join the panel. I’ve done the panel before as a blogger and a blog manager, but its been a very long time and for some reason I’m super nervous about today. I’m always afraid I’m going to say something stupid or worse, offend someone. Which is kinda funny, cuz I usually don’t care what people think and I’m known for being brutally honest. However, I’ve kinda softened a bit over the years. Okay, who am I kidding, I’ve just been working a lot harder on my filter, okay? Wish me luck!

In November of last year, Atelier Burgundy & Pitaya teamed up to create a bookstore gacha for Anthem. Fortunately for me, there was a fatpack option. Without any hesitation or even too close of a look, I snatched it up and sat on it for months. I knew a time would come that I would finally create a used bookstore. Well, here comes Anthem with a boho themed round for April and lucky little me, had access to Bueno’s set, as well as THOR’s. Now, get this…InsurreKtion recently invited me to join their blogging team as a VIP and there it was, sitting so pretty in Blogotex! A boho deco set!!! I knew this was it! I quickly rezzed all the things….the bookstore fatpack and all three of my boho sets. But wait, there’s more magic…Mikel Monk, the creator behind the Bueno brand, had named his couch, Kerouac!! Now, I realize there are tons of readers out there that have their own connection to Jack Kerouac, but for a while in college, I was absolutely obsessed. I even had a cat named, Jack Kerouac! I mean, clearly this was a sign, right?
I did my best to list everything in the credits, but as you can see from the photo, I used a ton of items to create my used bookstore. I was picturing one of those really cozy used book stores, that brings in a few treats first thing in the morning with a couple of canisters of coffee, but once those things are gone, that’s it for the day. They sell a variety of collectibles, new and used books, and encourage their customers to hang out.
I typed book and books into my inventory search and just started rezzing out everything. I didn’t bother trying to list every single collection, stack, and row of books, because that would have taken me all day. Let’s face it, I’d rather be reading! I did grab the names of some things, but if you really want to know a specific item in the photo, just let me know. I don’t think I’ll be tearing down this scene anytime soon. ☺

This post is all about Bloom by Prism Events. I have been blogging for Prism Events…well, for years. I absolutely love the three events they put on throughout the years. Bloom is all about Spring and this year, with Easter around the corner, we’ve got an abundance of cute Easter themed items, as well. Don’t get too overwhelmed thinking that these items will only work for Spring, though. As you can see by the photo, I’ve created a summer theme using the gorgeous house from Concept that you can acquire at the Arcade. If you want to see more of the house, I did two posts about it earlier this month. You can see those here and here. I grabbed this hair weeks ago during a Fifty Linden Friday and then yesterday Cynful released silky textures on their Buttoned Tube Top. Knowing Cyn, it’s probably still out so hurry! The rest just kinda fell into place as I was looking around at the different items I’d collected from Bloom. All in all, I’m really pleased with how my photo turned out. I hope it will inspire you to create some wonderful Spring & Summer spots of your own, or at least a cute outfit…cuz these shorts…*bites her lip*…they are sooo cute!!!!

These days, I think we’d all like a spa vacation. Unfortunately, due to the current times, that simply isn’t an option for most of us. However, I have found some tranquility by creating my own spa inworld and simply allowing my avatar to enjoy the setting, while I listen to some soft meditation friendly music. It would seem that the creators in SL have a similar idea, as I was able to use the new Urban Spa set from Atelier Burgundy & Pitaya as my foundation, then added elements from other spa sets in my collection to personalize it. There’s quite a bit that isn’t shown here, to include spring water and a mud bath, but I think this photo gives you an accurate view to grasp the idea. Hopefully, it will inspire you to create you own special place of zen. ♥

This has not been a merry holiday season for me. It has been more of a medical season. First I was diagnosed with a genetic heart disease that puts me at risk for sudden death and now diabetes. I don’t know the details on the diabetes yet, I’ll find out more about that next week. Yay. -_- I am exhausted and we’re not even half way into the month yet. When I took this picture I was thinking about how exhausting the holidays can be in general. I was inspired by the Christmas Fails Gacha colleciton at Tannenbaum, cuz that’s my kinda luck. However, after my appointment this morning, the only thing that’s really on my mind is my health. *sighs* I guess 2021 is literally going to be a new life for me. I have to change so many things about my life going forward. As my sister has pointed out, I’m not going to war. So, there’s a silver lining. *laughs*

Ok, I’ve stuffed myself with food the way you stuff a plushie at Build-a-Bear! Now, I’m ready for Christmas. No, I don’t mean the dinner, I mean the decorations. I think the delicious food makes me so complacent that I can embrace my belly and laugh right along with jolly ol’ Santa!!! In fact, I might just waddle around behind him and embrace feeling small in his shadow. *laughs* Seriously though, its always been a tradition at my house to decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. I’ve never been one to decorate every room in the house. I keep the decor in the living room and dining room, maybe a little ceramic tree in the guest bathroom provided there’s room. Once upon a time, I did the whole yard and lights on the building, but I’m too old and lazy to be climbing on ladders nowadays. Okay, mostly scared and lazy, ok? I’m not the most graceful person on the planet.
This week has been a complete whirlwind. So much has happened in such a small span of time and here we are. It’s Friday already. There’s an abundance of things happening all across the grid this weekend, so I’m sure its going to fly by and Monday will be rearing its head before I’ve had time to blink. It’s been a pretty good week overall. I did have a bout of PTSD and that sucked, but I got through it using the tools I’ve learned in therapy. So, that’s another win. I’m really proud of myself for getting through that as well as I did. All that being said, I’m in a fantastic mood and I’m refusing to let anyone ruin that. I’m going to have a fun filled weekend and get lots of sleep! *nods*
