Well, its official, I’ve changed my name from Sadystika Sabretooth to Sady Littlepaws. I’ve committed myself to being the cat lady. *nods* Its cute and I love cats. I relate to them. I like knocking things off shelves, too. Okay, I do it so I can get to them…I’m usually knocking things to the edge with a wooden spoon or something. Then I stand under the item hoping to catch it. The new name suits me…its closer to who I am now. And no, I’m not about to become a furry. LOL.
There are lots of fun new names out there and I can’t wait to see them all. I commend Linden Labs for choosing to do this while we’re going through so much. It would have been nice if they had given us a little break on the price, but all in all, I’m happy I made the change.
I think most women would agree that it would indeed be lovely to have an entire room in which to get dressed. I know I would and I don’t even like to leave the house! Though to be completely fair, I imagine it would be a complete mess and nothing like those gorgeous walk-in closets that we tend to see on those shows that give us a tour of homes belonging to the rich and famous. Of course, if one could afford such a luxury, I suppose it would also be favorable to hire someone to clean up behind us. I think I’d rather have someone to do my hair every day, especially if I could relax my head in a shower bowl and receive a daily scalp massage!

Once upon a time, a very long time ago…I mean, I was little girl…so it was a REALLY long time ago…my mom used to bake…a lot. You see, even though my mother was an educated woman with a nursing degree, she had married a U.S. Soldier. So, despite the fact that she had a good job at the hospital as a registered nurse, she was Germany bound after only two short years of marriage. She would not be employed in Europe and would stay home looking after her precious little angel. *grins* That’s me, in case you missed it! Yes, they used to call me that! *laughs* There’s no way they could have known THAT early.
Anyway, my mother got very good at baking. She got a Betty Crocker Cooky Book when I was about 3 yrs old and the course of my life was forever altered. Thus it became a little tradition for each of us (mom, dad, me) to choose 1-3 cookie recipes from the book and Mom would make said cookies for the holidays. There were always extras and that was okay, my father was a solider, afterall. There were always plenty of young, single G.I.s that were so far from home…any treat made from scratch was appreciated. We still have that cook book and I still grab it from time to time for a cookie recipe.
With all of that now written out, it will make complete sense that I was super excited that so many designers were thinking cookies this year! I grabbed as many cookie making props as I could and immediately began creating my photo of Cookie Madness! With that said, I want to also point out that the little red over with the tablet that you see on the left is an interactive delight. I am so torn right now between the Autumn decor that is everywhere and the holiday decor that is falling across the grid like a steady snowfall. I’m doing my best to squeeze in as much Autumn as I can before we slide into full blown Winter. Naturally, I will need to take a beach break along the way at some point, cuz BIKINIS! I am falling more and more in love with decor by the day. This can’t be a surprise given the influx of decor posts I’ve been dropping lately. Its not my fault. Look at the stuff in this scene! There’s nothing quite like blogging a kitchen to show off some of the delicious foods that the creators in Second Life like to tease us with. Be it healthy or dripping in virtual calories, we can enjoy the assortment of goodies guilt free! Just so happens that I’m on a new regime to start eating healthier….living healthier, actually. So, be prepared to see more food in my posts, as looking at most of these delicious things will be all I can do! *laughs*

I’ve had so much fun creating all these decor scenes lately. I only have like six going all the time. *laughs* This one was a huge favorite of mine, bringing together some of my all time favorite stores. Not all of them, mind you, I’m not sure I could even do that. However, one thing I’ve always wanted in the real world was a deck like this. Somewhere to hang out alone or with friends, surrounded by lush greenery and the sea. This is the second week of 6 Republic and that means you’ve got until the 20th to get all the goodies, cuz this is a two week event that only happens twice a year. So, all you decor junkies best get on over there and scoop up the goods, so you can create you own picture perfect patios.

I have my share of sleep problems. That’s certainly been no secret throughout my life. However, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve discovered that I absolutely love naps. Sadly, too many of my naps turn into full fledged sleeps. I will plan to lie down for a nap and wake up within two hours. Unfortunately, I wake up five or six hours later wondering where I am and what damn time it is. *laughs* Once upon a time, I couldn’t take a nap to save my life and now its one of my favorite pastimes. I’m becoming more and more like my cat by the day. Which reminds me. I have no idea why they think cap naps are quick and light. My cat spends 80% of his day asleep!

I recently wrote a post about a thread I had seen on Facebook about Flickr favs titled, “What are you complaining about?” I didn’t remember who had originally posted it when I wrote about it. It turns out that the person that posted it is someone I admire and adore. She got in my box to explain why she had posed the question and then went on to explain why it bothered her. She said that people are using bots to increase favs and traffic on Flickr. That was something I didn’t know. I had heard that people could hire someone to add favs, but I found that to be ridiculous. Turns out my friend said that she prefers to feel as though she deserves those favs and not to have earned them from some bot that can’t even look at the photo. I have to agree with her there. I had no idea people were using alts. This really bothered me, because I feared that people might think I was using a bot since I have some pretty standard compliments with cute emojis. I have to admit I was quite relieved when she explained that no one would think that of me, as I don’t paste those comments on every photo I fav nor do I fav every photo I see. *whew*
I love that she approached me to explain, because I learned something new. I am always open to understanding the other side of things. In fact, I prefer to know why people do the things they do. So a special thank you to her for enlightening me and not being upset about my post. ♥
