Piling Stuff Up

So, Fancy Decor came out with this gorgeous, elegant bathroom sink set for TMD. The minute I saw it, I thought, “Oh, that’s nice! Why doesn’t my bathroom ever look like that?” Then I remembered that’s its because I’m always piling stuff up around mine. So, with a little help from my inventory or as to be more specific, Ariskea and Half Deer, I was able to make this sleek manly sink into a girl’s sink in just minutes! I probably should have added a make up back, some brushes, face wash, etc, but here it is…a clean-ish looking Ludwig set via Sady’s brilliant mind. *giggles*

Play Time

I see videos all the time of people recording their pets when no one is home. Their animals get into all sorts of things. However, mine seem to save their high jinks for an audience. We don’t come home to broken things or accidents. Nope, my animals do it all while we’re home. The most absent we can be is when we’re sleeping.
Now with my dog, Zoey, I know she’s being polite by not waking us up if she needs to go out. She’ll go in the kitchen where she knows it’s easy to clean up, rather than having an accident on a rug. She’s a good girl and smart, too.
My cat, Mr. Mayhem, on the other hand, is the epitome of an asshole cat. He seems to think that if he gets in enough trouble, we’ll throw him outside. Unfortunately for him, I know the story of Brer Rabbit. Mostly, I just yell at him as I chase him under furniture screaming, “You better learn to use the phone and dial the ASPCA, cuz I’m about to whoop your ass!”

Dear Bloggers…pt 2

Dear Bloggers,

Please stop treating what we do as a competition. It’s not a sport. There’s room for everyone.
Stop stabbing other bloggers in the back or trying to throw them under the bus. It rarely works out the way you hope it does and in the end, karma finds it’s way back to you.
Remember that none of us are perfect. Learn to forgive one another for misunderstandings and work together as a community.
Don’t bad mouth each other in front of their best friends.
Remember who helped you when you first started, know that as much as you run your mouths, so do the people you run and talk to.
Don’t bash a brand or even hint at bashing a brand in a public forum. You’re only making yourself look bad and you’re burning more than one bridge when you do that.
Stop taking everything so personally. The world doesn’t revolve around you.
Don’t be afraid to try new things.
There’s no need to suck up to designers and lie to them about the people that work for them. Designers are not idiots and you can damn well bet they know what they’re doing and who is who on their teams.
Accept feedback for what it is, constructive criticism, remember that it’s not your brand.
And last but not least, if YOU think this post is aimed at you….well, you might want to think about why you think that and just for the record, this isn’t actually aimed at one person specifically. This is just a list of what I thought was common sense behaviors, but apparently isn’t. Not sure why I bother doing these little schpeils, but I suppose I hope its going to make a difference. *shrugs* If you found anything useful, take it and use it. If not, leave it here and forget it. I really just want people to stop wasting their precious time on hate and negativity. So…happy shopping…happy blogging…happy living. ❤

Lost in Memories

Sometimes I wake up and forget my world has changed. I forget that I sleep alone while he sleeps in the other room. I have to remind myself not to reach for him, that I curl up to pillows and blankets now. It’s been two years, but I still miss the struggle of not keeping him awake with my restless body. I no longer have to be quiet or careful when getting up in the middle of the night to pee. You’d think I’d be used to it by now, but no.
I drag my house out of bed and pull myself together. I find distractions to get me through another day. I really thought we were would last forever. I believed he was the one that would never leave. I have yet to let go of the hope that this is just a nightmare. That I’ll wake from this dream to find him next to me again. I don’t really want to let him go.
I try to find his faults. I recite all the things he does that annoy me and I know I will miss them when he’s gone. From time to time, I remind him that I love him…that I’m willing to fight. He reminds me that he has given up and my heart breaks a little more each time. Our vows meant everything to me and nothing to him. I’m left alone to get lost in memories.
