Accessories

I’m a girl that loves her accessories. Oddly enough, I rarely blog accessories. I’m not sure why. Perhaps its because I wasn’t comfortable taking close up shots. However, whenever I go out to an event, I will spend an hour putting the right accessories with it. So, I’ve decided I’m going to try to focus a bit more of my blogging photography on accessories. By the way, this dress from Dead Dollz is amazing, so hurry over to FaMESHed before it closes for the month to get yours. This dress is amazing, there are options to make it solid, semi-sheer, and quite sheer. I’m showing the semi-sheer below. This is truly a sexy dress that has some chains attached with options to change the colors of those. I’ve added the necklace and earrings from Avenge to give it a more unique look, that I’m quite happy with. I’m rambling, because I’m avoiding what’s really on my mind. The Work Out

Part 4 of the Grace & Sady Road Trip

We’ve been eating more than our fair share of junk food and drinking for all of Ireland. So, when we happened across a gym, we decided to stop and get in a work out. We were determined to get to the beach eventually and we needed to be fit for those bikinis we packed. It was a small town, so the gym was lacking in luxury equipment, but we managed to go a few rounds with a punching bag as well some weight lifting and some squats. Although, I didn’t know that punching bags hit back. OUCH! Damn near knocked us out…and its from the floor that we did squats as we tried to stand up after we were damn near knocked out. Naturally with Grace’s thunder thighs, she needed a little help getting up, but we’re calling it squats. *nods*

I might should mention that we were a little stoned while we were at the gym. Lucky for us, the place was pretty deserted. We were able to flirt with the old guy running the place just long enough for him to snap a few pictures of us. As you can see, we worked up quite a swear. *laughs* He even recommended a place down the road where we’d find some good food and a nice place to relax. I suspect he told us about the food so we’d have to come back to his gym. Ha! I don’t think that’s going to happen!

Pug Life

Alright, get ready for a journey down the rabbit hole of Sady’s mind, once again, because this post is all about the stuff and how my mind put it all together…I’m just going to write stream of consciousness here, soooo…buckle your seat belts, its going to be a helluva ride!
Okay, so I have three pictures to show you, because I’ve got soooo much to go over with you! First off, let me mention the five main designers I’m trying to showcase here. We’ve got super cute hair from Mina at FaMESHed, a rad tattoo from RedFish at Kinky, a super sexy outfit from le fil casse for the Arcade, some of Bueno’s arcade set, AND some of the She Pop Band Set that unKindness released recently at REWIND! It really wasn’t my intention to mix soooo many great designers into one scene, but sometimes things just fall together that way, ya know?
Okay, so this first picture *points below* is the whole scene with all the stuff, me, and lots of little extras I gave the my Pug Life scene. If you’re going to do a post called PugLife, you gotta have some pugs, right? So, purple and black are the base colors, but I couldn’t stop there…I had to add others. So, this is a smorgasbord of stuff that I really thought worked well together. It might be a bit cluttery for some, but I have yet to tear down this scene, because I like it sooo much! Oh and I have a weakness for signs, especially neon for some reason. I have no explanation for it and none in real life, but as Josh pointed out. Its not really that easy to own a lot of neon in real life, is it? I dunno, I know I don’t have any, never have. Okay, okay, I like shiny things, sue me!

So, one of the things I did was use pieces from the She Pop Band Set, that unKindness released recently at REWIND, in a different way. I saw the drum set and thought it would make the perfect way to display my MishMish pugs! Naturally that led me to slap the keyboard and guitar on the wall. Music is a huge part of my life, but I’ve got not musical talents whatsoever! I’m all about thinking outside the box…actually, I’m not sure I know how to think inside the box. *laughs*
You’ll also notice the gorgeous outfit I’m wearing and by sharing multiple pictures you can see it from other angles, as well as the sweet little tattoo that runs up and down both my legs, front and back. Plus, how freaking adorable is this hair?!?!?! I know, I know…too freaking cute!

I just couldn’t decide which picture best showcased everything I wanted to show you, so I decided it was time for multiples. I haven’t done multiple pics in a while and rarely does more than one show up on my Flickr page. However, this time will be different. I’m going to take the chance and post all three this time around, because I really want you everyone to see all this good stuff. Maybe I’m crazy…yeah, okay, we know I am…its even been certified…I know…you must be shocked. *laughs*
Yeah, so I’ve rambled on mindlessly about all the awesome stuff I’m wanting to show off and its not too often that I go on and on about the photos and the stuff this way…or cram so much into one post, but c’mon, you gotta admit, its pretty awesome, right? Unlike Any Other

I was thinking about the mushy post I wrote the other day and how I said his love is unlike any I’ve ever known. I got to thinking about how often people say that about current relationships. I thought about how overused the phrase is and quite honestly, I got annoyed with myself for using the phrase so much, as well. Then I started thinking about it, really thinking about it. Each love is and should be like any other, shouldn’t it?
Think about it, every relationship you’ve been in had to be wonderful at some point and had to have seemed unlike any other…at least for a while, right? I mean why be with someone if it doesn’t feel wonderful, right? Even the relationships that are over and ended badly, before the end…before everything went to shit, something was good. That relationship was special. I suppose this is how things become cliche’ in the first place…they ring true and are applicable repeatedly.
Well, it was just something I was thinking about a lot lately. As I am crazy about Josh and he truly is like anyone I’ve ever known before, but then again so are all my exes. *laughs* Thank goodness for that! How daft would it be if they were all the same, afterall!?!? Yeah, ok, there’s a picture and pretty stuff…shutting up now. *wanders off to chase squirrels*

Days of Summer

As I’ve mentioned recently in two previous posts, Soaking Up The Sun and Vacation, I love swimwear in Second Life. I’m pretty sure I also mentioned what a huge fan I am of Rebel Hope’s bikinis and as if answering a prayer she released TWO in the mainstore. I was so excited I couldn’t wait to run out and pose on one of my favorite beach destinations on the grid, Baja Sands which is part of Baja Norte. They have several beach themed sims and for a small group fee, you can rez whatever you like, just pick up after yourself.  Its a beautiful spot to lounge around in your swimwear, hang out with friends, or just be vane and shoot pictures of your sexy pixels like I did.
The days of Summer are upon most of us (Sorry to those South of the equator, you can rub it in later when we’re all melting from the heat.) and whether you enjoy the sun in RL or just in SL like me, I highly recommend getting out there and exploring some of the gorgeous beach sims on the grid.

Almost Ready

On the rare occasion that I wear full face make up in RL, lipstick is always the last thing I apply and its something I apply throughout the day if I’ve got the mind to do so. When I saw these poses from GingerFish, I had already aquired the Hair Salon backdrop from Astralia and knew immediately that this was going to work out wonderfully with my new hair from Mina and the Oh! Dress from Cynful. This is one of those pictures that I just had to get right and I hope that you like it as much as I enjoyed putting it all together.
Sometimes blogging is just that simple for me. Its things falling into place with the only effort on my part is taking the picture, editing, writing these words, and listing the credits.
I doubt there’s anyone out there that hasn’t heard the words, “Almost ready!” as they wait for someone to join them on an outing, whether its a night out, going shopping, a trip, or just going somewhere to hang out.

Normally this is the story of my life, but I recently went to see the doctor. A new one for me and I love him. However, he’s got me on all these new meds and I’m sooo sleepy all the time. I’m not used to sleeping this much. I don’t have time for this kinda sleep! Turns out I have a deficiency of Vitamins B12 & D, too. Fun times, I have to go in everyday for a week for an injection of B12. I’m not surprised by the Vitamin D. Let’s see, in the real world I go outside and see the sun? I hiss. Literally. I do enjoy sunshine on rare occasions, but mostly I prefer dark rooms and dark nights.

A Series of Scenes

When I look back on various memories from my 10+yrs in Second Life, I so often see it like a scene from a movie….much like watching a screen, but in a dream. I can’t know if that made any sense, but I’m trying to explain the connection between the human and the avatar, the real world and the virtual…and how truly woven they are. How we take photographs and those memories are earmarked in our personal book of time. In a world filled with ever changing images, I think photographs should mean something. Make sure to earmark the best of times, and even the raw emotion behind the worst.

I find myself doubly blessed by the fabric of my two worlds crossing, in even the remotest way. I want to remember this day. I won’t go into all the reasons why, but I will tell you that I had such a pleasant time putting this scene together. I had someone with me, to keep me company and to help keep me focused. We had wonderful conversations and I managed to get my picture. I knew exactly what I wanted, because the minute I saw the offerings of Fancy Decor and unKindness at the 5th Anniversary of FaMESHed, I knew I was about to create the perfect addition to my home. While I actually built the scene elsewhere, I know this is coming home with me. Adding little additions that I’ve collected along the way. Yes, I think this will be a day to remember.

I had to be dressed in red, because my heart was simply too full to wear any other color. You have to admit I’m glowing just a bit…only thing missing is the horns…*laughs*

Another great thing about this photo is that I get to show off just a sampling of what FaMESHed has to offer on their 5th Anniversary which I’ve had the distinct honor to be part of as one of the new liaisons.  I have a whole new respect for all event organizers and their teams. And now, having the inside track…I can tell you that something HUGE is coming…oh, I can’t tell you what it is…*laughs*…you’ll just have to wait and see.♥
