Just LION around

From the moment I saw these lions from Rezz Room, I knew exactly what type of photo I wanted to do. Lucky for me, I have some very patient friends that were more than willing to pose all pretty. What I was going for was one of those situations where models are doing an editorial spread and shoot on location. While they pose and look all aloof or bored, when deep down they are screaming inside because they are so close to the lions. The best part of this is that when Precious was posing, she didn’t even notice the lions until I showed her my raw shot. *dies laughing* I think she was too busy trying to look down my shirt! Meanwhile, we just dumped poor Damien in the back and told him to keep his hands to himself. *laughs* That’s probably why he’s shooting us the bird! *giggles* And Puss…well, she’s just my original toon that does as I tell her.

Patio Project

With most of us stuck at home, no one actually said we could not go outside. We’re just supposed to be social distancing, right? One thing we’ve done in real life to not only give us something to do, but to give us a change of scenery is to redo our patio and garden area. Yes, we made a rush to the garden center before it was too late. It was easy to social distance ourselves in there, as most people were racing after toilet paper and other essentials. We had done that early on, so that wasn’t an issue for us. For three days, we have weeded and planted, until our patio area is looking as fresh and lovely as ever. Now, we have a lovely area to sit outside and enjoy an unobstructed view of the neighborhood in some very lovely weather. (BTW, by “we” I meant my mom.)
I decided to follow suit in Second Life, by creating an area Chris and I to enjoy each other’s company tucked away in our little concrete patio…secluded from the rest of the world.♥

Puddin looked at her with curiosity as they strolled along the abandoned streets. The poor pup couldn’t understand what had happened to all the people that used to greet her with smiles, cutesy little words she didn’t understand, and all the petting. She missed the attention and was so confused about why everyone they saw stayed so far away. She knew she was clean, her momma bathed her regularly. She knew her momma smelled as sweet as ever. Loving Myself

Like so many others, I notice people popping in and out of relationships in Second Life and I observe several that seem to endure the test of time. One thing that I notice quite a bit in the failing relationships is betrayal, mental/emotional abuse, and neglect. I can’t help but wonder if these people have children. If they do, would they want their children to behave in such a manner? Would they encourage their children to stay in a toxic relationship? I certainly hope not. I will never understand why people think its okay to treat one another so poorly and better yet, why anyone would accept that type of behavior.
Perhaps I’m too intolerant. Maybe I’m too picky. I know I have trust issues or rather full blown lifelong subscriptions, but there’s no way in hell I’m going to allow someone to be so blatantly abusive or disrespectful towards me. Yes, I do get incredibly lonely at times, but I’d rather work on loving myself than trying to survive a destructive relationship.

I’m Going to Die!

Where does time go? I swear it was just March like two days ago and now we’re heading into June? Ugh. For the life of me, I will never understand people who claim they’re bored.
