Well, its official, I’ve changed my name from Sadystika Sabretooth to Sady Littlepaws. I’ve committed myself to being the cat lady. *nods* Its cute and I love cats. I relate to them. I like knocking things off shelves, too. Okay, I do it so I can get to them…I’m usually knocking things to the edge with a wooden spoon or something. Then I stand under the item hoping to catch it. The new name suits me…its closer to who I am now. And no, I’m not about to become a furry. LOL.
There are lots of fun new names out there and I can’t wait to see them all. I commend Linden Labs for choosing to do this while we’re going through so much. It would have been nice if they had given us a little break on the price, but all in all, I’m happy I made the change.

They say that if life gives you lemons you should make lemonade, but what if lemonade gives you heartburn? I say there are lots of ways to use lemons. In fact, I could surpass Bubba Gump and his uses for shrimp if I started listing all the things you can do with lemons. Soooo, if lemonade gives you heartburn, like it does me, then make lemon cake or lemon cookies or use it for cleaning or use it with chicken or fish….you see where this is going. So, a few days ago or so, I did a post titled, Sady’s Soundtrack. In this post, I provided a link to a YouTube playlist of mine and offered my readers a chance to ask me about any of the songs and why they are so special to me. Well, I didn’t really figure anyone would ask, but my friend, Troy, did shoot me an IM on Facebook and asked about the song Linger by The Cranberries. I was immediately falling back into memories of days lying on my bed, staring out the window listening to this on my headphones. He would stand in the doorway and watch me singing.
You see, I was living in a Three Quarter House at the time, that’s kind of like a half way house, but with more independence and less rules. This house was also co-ed. His room was down the hall and naturally we were not supposed to be dating. There were hella good reasons for that, but I was in my twenties and you couldn’t tell me anything. *still can’t* He was such a bad boy. He was older by a couple of years and he looked just like Tupac. (Everyone said so.) He was smart and funny. He was also bad news…they all warned me, but again, I wouldn’t listen. The funny thing is when I first fell in love with that song, we had just met. Little did I know that was some serious foreshadowing come to life. For an entire year of my life, he had me wrapped around his finger and very much made a fool of me.

I’ve had this scene set up for this picture for about a week, I finally got the girls pinned down. Then it only took them three hours to finally get pose ready. Lo & behold, we take the picture and now Stef moves quickly. She finishes editing and posts hers straight away. You can see her version here, she did such an amazing job! It took me a bit longer as I’m still learning photoshop, but I’m finally happy with the result.
We genuinely had a blast, but I’m pretty sure I’m the only one in this photo wearing the outfit that I actually picked out for NYE. *laughs* These girls keep me in stitches and I can’t think of a better way to bring in the New Year than laughing with my squad. So, to everyone celebrating the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, I raise a glass.
