Just LION around

From the moment I saw these lions from Rezz Room, I knew exactly what type of photo I wanted to do. Lucky for me, I have some very patient friends that were more than willing to pose all pretty. What I was going for was one of those situations where models are doing an editorial spread and shoot on location. While they pose and look all aloof or bored, when deep down they are screaming inside because they are so close to the lions. The best part of this is that when Precious was posing, she didn’t even notice the lions until I showed her my raw shot. *dies laughing* I think she was too busy trying to look down my shirt! Meanwhile, we just dumped poor Damien in the back and told him to keep his hands to himself. *laughs* That’s probably why he’s shooting us the bird! *giggles* And Puss…well, she’s just my original toon that does as I tell her.

Closing this chapter

Well, so long, Genus. I’m not turning my back on you because of the dmca or any of that. I have a new head now and I will be featuring it soon. For now, I dedicate this post to the look I grew to love very much while wearing this head. I absolutely adore the look of the Genus heads, but the huds frustrate me to no end and I never can get the neck quite right with the legacy body. So, one final close up as I close the chapter on this look. I will always love the looks I achieved with Genus, but its time to embrace the new.

Marathon of Possibilities

I have a tendency run a complete marathon of possibilities in my head with just about everything. It doesn’t matter if its something I’m excited about or something that scares me. So, if I meet a guy and everything is falling into place, I’m quick to think of all the ways this could work out in good ways, all while waiting for the penny to drop. I make myself absolutely crazy doing this. As I continue my therapy and learning to be mindful, I have been trying really hard not to do this. As it often leads to very hurt feelings for which I have no one to blame but myself. Listen, I’m trying, okay?
So, recently I met someone that has already made some serious improvements to my life. I ran the marathon, of course, and I got excited. Alas, real life has gotten in the way of my virtual dreams and the penny has officially dropped. HOWEVER, I’m super pleased with myself this go round, because I did not fall apart or feel that sense of devastation when the penny dropped. I just accepted the situation for what it is and have decided to just make the most of it. This person offered me some tools that work with my therapy tools and I’m hopeful about my own personal plan for a change. So, I’ve grabbed that silver lining by the tail and I am holding on for dear life. I don’t know how much time I have left on this planet, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to just give up. I’ve survived far too much to let life hold me down now.

So much going on

So, this week has been a lot. I’ve had some really crappy things happen in RL that I won’t talk about right now, because…reasons. On the upside, my big slister, Kess Crystal….erhm…Kess MASSIMO,  got married yesterday and I couldn’t be happier for her. I’m not sure I would ever find any man she dated truly worthy of her, but she is happy and I’ve not seen her love a man this hard in a very long time. He makes her laugh more than he makes her cry. Which says a lot, cuz even I can make her cry. WHAT? I meant happy tears, damnit! I’m not THAT mean to my sisters….sheesh. Anyway, they had a private ceremony yesterday and it was truly beautiful. And anyone that knows me, knows how much I loathe weddings. So, when I say it was beautiful, I mean it. I would say it was the second most beautiful wedding I’ve attended on the grid. The prettiest was when Posh married Just D. THAT wedding was more my style, so naturally I favor that one. It was almost what I would want if I was forced into having a wedding of my own. Yes, I said FORCED. OMG, I cannot stay on track…ok, so love is in the air, ok? OK! I’m happy for my sisters, one got married and I’m pretty sure my other one is falling in love. Let’s just hope my little sister doesn’t drag me into a wedding, too.
Meanwhile, I’m showing off some of the amazing finds from Kustom9 with a backdrop you can grab at Access. I used to associate Luas with lingerie, but they’re doing some really cute clothes these days and for the Legacy body, too! So be sure to check them out! And Paleto is new to me, but they are coming in hot with some amazing backdrops. So, if you love photography, this is definitely a store to check out. And while this photo isn’t really close enough for you appreciate the details of things like lashes & lipstick…I listed them, because I was wearing them and they are gorgeous. I swear, there is so much goodness out there right now…if not for blogger packs, I’d be in debt up to my eyeballs!
