I was hanging out with my amazing friends, Maria & Jason, when I got my hands on these gorgeous new sphynx cats from Rezz Room. I was squealing with delight, because…well…CATS! Jason started laughing and then predicted that I would be doing a post with a lot of cats. Started calling me the cat lady. So, in order to prove him wrong, I limited myself to only three. See? I have some self control, Jason! *laughs*

I am so very blessed to have these two amazing people in my life. So, I want to make sure they know how much I appreciate them both. ♥

She Knew

She sneered as descended the stairs and saw him whispering into his phone. She knew he was whispering to his whore, scolding her for calling him when she knew damn well he was at home. She wanted to rip the phone from his hands and scream at both of them. The truth of the matter was, she didn’t care that he had found someone else to accept his pathetic three minutes of sweaty grunting. She was disgusted by his cowardice and her disrespect. She had done her homework and knew exactly who he was fucking. She knew that his whore was betraying her partner as well. She relished the idea that the one of them would deliver the karma due to both of them.
As he hung up the phone and turned to see her coming down the stairs, he stared at her like a deer in the headlights. She smiled knowingly at him and asked the question that she knew would make him squirm, “Who was on the phone, Darling?”

Farewell, Summer

It would seem that while spring came early in my area, summer arrived on time. Now it seems that summer might be leaving on time, as well. This is highly unusual for where I live. August and September seem to be two of the hottest months of the year. Don’t get me wrong. July and August were more than happy to carry the load this year, but the temperatures have dropped significantly this past week and according to the weather predictions, they won’t be climbing back up anytime soon. I don’t mind, because I absolutely love fall. Plus, in SL its whatever season I want it to be! I’m pleased as punch to bid farewell to summer…its about to be cardigan season!!!

She’d finally had enough of his crap. She would never be good enough. No one would. He set her up to fail, time after time. “Dress sexy,” he said, “I want to show you off.” So, she dug out the slinkiest dress she owned. “You look like a whore! Go change!” he yelled, “And hurry up!” That was the last time he was going to call her a whore. She was not a doll for him to dress up and show off. She was not going to be made to feel ashamed for trying to please him. It was futile anyway. There was no pleasing him. The only thing he ever did was yell at her and make her feel like crap. Seeing her crumpled in the corner crying was the only way she could find the the resemblance of a heart. Then he would say he was sorry. Then he would kiss her gently and tell her how much he loved her. She was tired of the games. This time she was done and as she said goodbye and walked out the door, all he could say was, “I knew it! You’re a cheating whore…go to your lover, hope he treats you like the whore you are!”
She couldn’t even cry. She’d gotten so used to his verbal abuse that it rolled off her like water on a duck’s back. She was done. She was walking away for good this time. She deserved better and she knew it. She didn’t even bother looking back. She just kept walking.

Wheels

She had been skating since she was in the first grade. She could skate before she even learned how to ride a bike. There was something so free about having wheels under her feet, almost as if she could fly. When she skated she felt free. As a kid she would lose herself in the music skating in circles at the skating rink, but as she got older she found the most joy in skating along in abandoned warehouses and parking garages, provided they had a smooth surface and if they didn’t well, she made a game of jumping cracks and rocks. Sure, she got some bruises and scratches from failed attempts, but that was all part of the fun. She had tried the inline skates, but they just didn’t feel right and she preferred the classic skates and always would.

The Ugliest Thing I Could Find

So, the tie dye pattern on this Migle dress from United Colors reminded me of one of my favorite shirts when I was about 18. There’s actually a funny story about that shirt. My parents got divorced when I was 15, for the first year my mom cried almost every night. After that she went a little wild. She was going on trips quite regularly, but being the awesome mom that she was, she would always bring me a present. Being the mom with awful taste meant I wasn’t going to like it if it was clothing. Then lo and behold she returned from a trip with the most awesome looking black and white tie dyed shirt I had ever seen. It wasn’t even a tee shirt, it was like a wicked blouse! I was so shocked and happy. As I’m standing there hugging the shirt, then holding it up, then ripping off my current shirt to try it on, my mom is standing there laughing so hard she has tears running down her face. Naturally, I had to know what was so damn funny, right?
She wiped the tears from her face and asked if I really liked the shirt. I nodded profusely, “Yes! I love it, Momma! Thank you. I can’t believe you picked this out, though.”
She laughed again for a minute then said, “Well, you never like anything I pick out, so I just looked around the shop for the ugliest thing I could find. You’re welcome.”
Damn woman. We still have opposing taste in most things, but she’s gotten a lot better at picking out gifts over the years. *laughs* Even if she thinks they’re ugly.

Lost on the Dock

When I shot this photo my main objective was to show off some more of the amazing creations you’ll find at the Vintage Fair and various other events across the grid. Okay, done. Then I though about what to write and I spent over an hour on YouTube looking for the perfect song, but nothing quite resonated with the photo. So, I decided to just ramble. Yep, That’s right…I’m going to ramble on about absolutely nothing. How long will you read these words about me writing about nothing? *laughs* I can’t imagine you’ll last too long, unless you a glutton for meaningless words. My mind is just all over the place this morning and I can’t even settle on a topic. Its Friday and I have so much to do in both world that my my is just spinning with ideas, but none of them will land…so, that’s all. Yep, I’m all out of deep thoughts this morning. Unlike Any Other

I was thinking about the mushy post I wrote the other day and how I said his love is unlike any I’ve ever known. I got to thinking about how often people say that about current relationships. I thought about how overused the phrase is and quite honestly, I got annoyed with myself for using the phrase so much, as well. Then I started thinking about it, really thinking about it. Each love is and should be like any other, shouldn’t it?
Think about it, every relationship you’ve been in had to be wonderful at some point and had to have seemed unlike any other…at least for a while, right? I mean why be with someone if it doesn’t feel wonderful, right? Even the relationships that are over and ended badly, before the end…before everything went to shit, something was good. That relationship was special. I suppose this is how things become cliche’ in the first place…they ring true and are applicable repeatedly.
Well, it was just something I was thinking about a lot lately. As I am crazy about Josh and he truly is like anyone I’ve ever known before, but then again so are all my exes. *laughs* Thank goodness for that! How daft would it be if they were all the same, afterall!?!? Yeah, ok, there’s a picture and pretty stuff…shutting up now. *wanders off to chase squirrels*
