I kinda dig it

I’ve always loved rooftop scenes in movies and tv shows. It always looks so cool with the way they make the roof of a building into something completely different. When I was growing up, my mother always had a lot of houseplants. She would struggle when we lived in apartments, because she wanted a yard where she could plant bushes and outdoor flowers. None of the buildings we ever lived in had a flat rooftop that my mom could use for gardening, but it was always something I wished she could have done. So, when I saw the Akina Garden Set from Serenity Style, I knew this was my chance to create a rooftop area that would be unlike anything else I’ve done. I had a lot of fun setting this all up to look like my avatar was getting photographed for her Instagram in her rooftop paradise. Who knows, maybe I’ll do more rooftop photography. I kinda dig it. *giggles* See what I did there? Yeah, I know, I’m punny. *sticks her tongue out*

Get Ready!

Okay, I never REALLY left. However, I did take a long break from my actual blog site to try my hand at micro blogging. It was fun. It was quick and eventually it was really easy. I knew there were about seven people that read my blog (at least four of them are close friends), but I really didn’t believe that many people were actually reading what I wrote. After winning the Most Humorous Blogger award…well, now I’m like…y’all actually read it? AND YOU LAUGH?? I immediately started scrambling trying to figure out a way to get back to blogging like I did when I started. I’ll admit I’ve missed writing and there’s been many stories I could have shared. So, here I am…and there you are reading….*waves like Forest Gump, cuz that’s how we wave in Alabama*…HI!! So, get ready for the antics of a crazy cat lady on the grid, cuz I’m back and its YOUR fault….or whoever else voted for me…lol.

This location is what I like to call KraftWork park on my private homestead, which I plan to open up to the public once I’m finished working on it. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks and I’ll tell you lots more about that in another post.

Quite a show

When I was taking this picture, I had to be careful of the angle, because I wasn’t trying to flash my hooha. This made me giggle, because I remember when I was in the fourth grade I was learning to play the autoharp at school. This instrument lays across your lap and you use both hands to play it. There was, of course, a concert for the parents to come see how their children had progressed.
I was super excited and my mom had bought me a special dress for the occasion. What we didn’t think about was how I sat when playing this wretched beast of an instrument. Lo and behold, I sat on the stage and got situated. Unfortunately, this involved spreading my legs a bit in order to balance the autoharp. You can just imagine how mortified my parents were as they looked up from the audience to see that I was showing my pretty little panties to the whole audience providing quite a show. Needless to say, this was the first of many wardrobe malfunctions to occur throughout my life, but none were quite as memorable as this one.

Clean Breaks

I’m not sure what it is about the holidays and the new year that pushes people forward…to make hard decisions and stand by them. Perhaps it has more to do with New Year’s…New Year, new me, new resolutions. We all make some sort of resolutions in the new year. We might not declare them with punch drunk pride, but inwardly I think most of kind of vow to do better. It’s a time for clean breaks and fresh starts.
