Retail Therapy Is Real

Retail therapy is a great quick fix for the blues or even the magentas (100pts if you get that). I mean, who doesn’t feel better after shopping? It’s exciting! Just don’t look at the bill or how much you spent right away. No sense ruining the buzz for no reason. Granted retail therapy is a short term solution for a bad mood and has no real therapeutic value, but at least at the end of it you have something to show for your money. Thus, I must argue that it is a far better vice than drugs (except marijuana lol), alcohol, or gambling (especially if you suck at it.) While, it none of the aforementioned proclivities can replace actual therapy, it is a great way to perk yourself up.
There are some lasting benefits to shopping, too. You buy multiple items and you get excited each time you use/wear one of your new items for the first time. Then as you discover more about the items, its even more exciting. OMG, you mean this dress has pockets!?!? See? We all know women love some pockets! This blender is also a food processor? WHAT?!?! See? Exciting! Again, I’m not suggesting you use retail therapy to put yourself in the poor house or to replace actual therapy, but the next time you’re feeling a little blue…give it a try, I think you’ll discover that I’m right….as usual. *grins*

One of the challenges of being a blogger is trying to decide the best pose to show off an item. The new No Filter Outfit from Cynful is one of those outfits that looks amazing from all sides and the newest hair from Stealthic, Metropolis, is no different. I hope you all have plenty of lindens on hand, because I see some very pretty things that are just dying to be part of your teensy lil ole inventory. *giggles* If you read my blog, you’re a shopaholic like me and I know damn well you’re inventory isn’t teensy. I need to clean my up before I get locked out of sl for my inventory being too damn big. LOL

This post is all about Bloom by Prism Events. I have been blogging for Prism Events…well, for years. I absolutely love the three events they put on throughout the years. Bloom is all about Spring and this year, with Easter around the corner, we’ve got an abundance of cute Easter themed items, as well. Don’t get too overwhelmed thinking that these items will only work for Spring, though. As you can see by the photo, I’ve created a summer theme using the gorgeous house from Concept that you can acquire at the Arcade. If you want to see more of the house, I did two posts about it earlier this month. You can see those here and here.
I grabbed this hair weeks ago during a Fifty Linden Friday and then yesterday Cynful released silky textures on their Buttoned Tube Top. Knowing Cyn, it’s probably still out so hurry! The rest just kinda fell into place as I was looking around at the different items I’d collected from Bloom. All in all, I’m really pleased with how my photo turned out. I hope it will inspire you to create some wonderful Spring & Summer spots of your own, or at least a cute outfit…cuz these shorts…*bites her lip*…they are sooo cute!!!!
