Spruce up your sliving space

One of my favorite aspects about mesh is the land impact that is saved. I remember years ago, feeling like such a prim whore, because I wanted those little details that really personalize a sliving space. However, back then you could use up 100 prims just decorating an end table. Now, most of the knick knacks are 1-3 li at most and I am so grateful. With that said, if you’re like me and love giving your sliving space some individual flare, then you need to know about Spruce.
Spruce is a new store and yes, the creator is a friend of mine. Most of you are familiar with Harlow Heslop from Burrow Co and various other community spaces before that. However, she has taken on creating adorable decor items like pillows, candles, and now picture frames. I’m a huge fan of frames, as most of my friends and family are photographers. I love displaying their beautiful faces and talents around my home. I encourage you all to check out her store, located on the Burrow Co sim, as well as taking a good look at some of the other little decorative decor elements being made at various decor stores. Don’t limit your vision to complete decor sets, but mix things up. I hope that my photo showcases a little bit about that very subject and if my post doesn’t inspire you, please take a look at some of the amazing decor shots you can find in some of the home groups on flickr.

there’s no such thing as too many shoes

It’s all about the shoes, right? I mean, have you ever heard a woman say she’s got too many shoes? No matter if she wear glamour heels or flats or mules…there’s no such thing as too many shoes. So, let this be a warning to anyone that might suggest otherwise. You are WRONG. The more styles they make, the more we need. It’s that simple. Yes, there are a minute amount of exceptions to this rule in the world, but you might want to check their mental status. I wouldn’t trust a woman that doesn’t love shoes! Okay, I don’t trust very many people anyway, but especially women that don’t love shoes!

Sady Stuff!

The moment I saw this sweater, I had to message Annie, “I’m just going to pretend this sweater is named after me!” Annie quickly assured me that it was indeed named after me. I’m honored to have such a beautiful piece named after me. I love how the lines kinda shift around the boobs, like its stretching. It is perfect….the shading, the wrinkles….how the sleeves come down over the wrists as if I’ve been pulling at them and no pokes on the shoulders from being on a hanger in my closet instead of folded on a shelf. *laughs* Seriously, this is one of the most realistic sweaters I’ve seen in SL, like this sweater has been worn….I pushed up the sleeves to do dishes, then I tugged them down over my hands when I took the dog out. For me, this sweater tells a story,
To top off the sweater, Katya named a pose set after me! It’s a perfect set of poses for blogging, too. So, I’ll be using them all eventually. For now, I’m just using one of them to pose pretty in front of this scene composed mostly from two of THOR’s lastest gacha sets.
I’m not going to pretend that I’m not excited over having such awesome creations named after me. It’s an honor anytime a designer names something after you and I am genuinely chuffed. (Can’t tell I have British friends, can you?)

Last Official Decor Post

I recently wrote about cutting back on decor blogging and I’ve made the decision to make that official. I can’t say that I will never do another decor post, but honestly, its more likely that I will use decor to create a scene for a fashion post. I’ll always credit any decor in my posts, because I’ve been the one looking at other blogs trying to figure out where they got something in the background.

All the collections presented in this post are incredible gacha collections. What I like about all four of these collections is that you can use any of the pieces to enhance decor. So, its not all about getting that rare, ya know? And if you’re anything like me and love love love boho styles, all of these collections work perfectly with boho themes. I hope I did these designers justice with my final official decor post. It’s a bittersweet moment, but its the right thing for me to do.

Pretty Good Week

This week has been a complete whirlwind. So much has happened in such a small span of time and here we are. It’s Friday already. There’s an abundance of things happening all across the grid this weekend, so I’m sure its going to fly by and Monday will be rearing its head before I’ve had time to blink. It’s been a pretty good week overall. I did have a bout of PTSD and that sucked, but I got through it using the tools I’ve learned in therapy. So, that’s another win. I’m really proud of myself for getting through that as well as I did. All that being said, I’m in a fantastic mood and I’m refusing to let anyone ruin that. I’m going to have a fun filled weekend and get lots of sleep! *nods*

How will we be remembered?

The 1920s are often referred to as the roaring 20s, but I have to wonder how 2020s will be recognized. The coughing 20s? Lord knows this year has been anything but boring, but roaring sure isn’t how I’d describe it. Perhaps this will be the year of DOOM or maybe despair. Each decade of the 20th century holds its own special place in the fashion annuls, but what will we remember about the 21st century. How will we collectively be remembered long after we’re gone?

I am a complete sucker for all thing tea set related. I’m absolutely sure that this is my mother’s fault. She collected tea pots for years. Sadly, they were all destroyed in a hapless storage accident. She actually blamed me for their demise, but I would never have done something so horrid. Now, as a result of her love for teapots and because of my love for her….I find myself loving teapots, too. Plus, there might be a story about her singing “I’m a little teapot” that I will save for another time. *smiles*
