This isn’t news

It’s safe to say that I’m a true crime junkie. I have been since I was a kid. I would buy those magazines that had true crime stories long before there were things like podcasts and internet. One thing that has always bewildered me are those people that have this mentality of “if I can have them, no one can.” Especially the ones that kill themselves after they kill the person they’re obsessing over. I mean, I get that they’re not in their right mind, cuz murder. But what sense does that make? If you really love someone, why would you want to end their life? Cuz they hurt you? Are you going to kill everyone that hurts you? I cannot wrap my mind around it! I guess it’s fairly obvious that this mindset is not about love at all. It’s self centered and selfish on a whole new level.
There’s a whole lot of things I don’t understand, but I am starting to understand that the more I learn about the human race, the less I like people. And trust? Nah, I don’t think I completely trust anyone, but this isn’t news. Anyone that knows me or thinks they know me, can tell you that while I seem pretty open…I’m actually pretty closed off. Go figure.

Retail Therapy Is Real

Retail therapy is a great quick fix for the blues or even the magentas (100pts if you get that). I mean, who doesn’t feel better after shopping? It’s exciting! Just don’t look at the bill or how much you spent right away. No sense ruining the buzz for no reason. Granted retail therapy is a short term solution for a bad mood and has no real therapeutic value, but at least at the end of it you have something to show for your money. Thus, I must argue that it is a far better vice than drugs (except marijuana lol), alcohol, or gambling (especially if you suck at it.) While, it none of the aforementioned proclivities can replace actual therapy, it is a great way to perk yourself up.
There are some lasting benefits to shopping, too. You buy multiple items and you get excited each time you use/wear one of your new items for the first time. Then as you discover more about the items, its even more exciting. OMG, you mean this dress has pockets!?!? See? We all know women love some pockets! This blender is also a food processor? WHAT?!?! See? Exciting! Again, I’m not suggesting you use retail therapy to put yourself in the poor house or to replace actual therapy, but the next time you’re feeling a little blue…give it a try, I think you’ll discover that I’m right….as usual. *grins*

Don’t Ask

I’ve never understood why someone’s past matters to someone that wasn’t even part of it. If you didn’t kill someone or molest a child or torture animals, I just don’t think it should matter. Who cares how many people someone dated or fucked or almost married? Why should any of that matter to someone that’s not been part of your life until now? I’ve heard so many people, especially men, just lose their shit over the amount of lovers someone’s had in their past. What I don’t understand is why? A woman can push a baby from her vagina and still remain tight. So, there’s no stretching of the vagina that comes from having multiple dicks up in it. We bathe. We move forward. We hopefully recover from trauma, both mental and physical. So, why is it some ridiculous bother? I don’t care how many lovers someone I’m with has had in the past. I prefer the “don’t ask” rule, but if you do ask, be prepared for the worst answer you can imagine. If you’re not prepared for that, then don’t ask. No one in the past matters. If they did, they wouldn’t be in the past.
