As she hung the last of the new ornaments on the tree, she closed her eyes and got lost in her memories. She remembered their first Christmas together and all the traditions they started that year. It had been years since she could even bring herself to decorate for the holiday again, much less get rid of the ornaments that proclaimed their first Christmas and every year after that. He has a new family now. He will be starting new traditions and she is left with bittersweet memories.
