Yes, I did link the definition. *laughs* Ok, so I was reading a profile and saw something that I’ve seen dressed up in meme form and otherwise in a variety of places of the years. Naturally, the most common place I’ve seen it is on FaceBook. Now, y’all know I love taking the piss out of people who do the  “actually” comments, but once in a while…I come across things that make me think way too much. Normally, I don’t write anything in addition to song lyrics, but occasionally a song comes along that hits you so hard in the feels. I didn’t copy the full lyrics, because this is one of those songs that you can clearly understand every word when listening to it.  Most of my friends know how much I adore Selena Gomez, but I’ve never had any special connection to her music. But this song…wow. It just shows how we so often lose ourselves in a relationship…without even realizing it.
With every word, I feel like she crawled into my head…my heart…my soul and captured the very spirit of what I’ve been feeling these last few months regarding the end of my marriage in real life. I can honestly say that I’ve never grieved a relationship the way I’ve grieved this one and I hope I never do again. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever dealt with and if you know me, or read my blog regularly…well, you know it just doesn’t seem like the type of thing that would destroy me. I didn’t think so either.
I’m coming out of the other side now…and I am finally finding myself again…after all these years. I’m not playing victim or pointing fingers. I’m dealing with my life the best way I can right now. That’s more than I can say I was doing a year ago. I am finally able to love me again.

Feeling Festive…for Now

It is happening! I’ve already changed my display name to Sαdy M’ғɴ Clαwѕ. Now I’m posing with reindeer and dogs dressed up like elves. Don’t look now, but it seems I’ve caught the Christmas spirit!! (This would be a good time to gasp and run for cover.) I’m so excited to dress up and decorate…everything Christmas. I wonder how long this will last? I know I won’t make it until Christmas. No idea how long it will be before I’m complaining about the commercialism of the holiday and if I have to look at one more “this” or “that.” Based on experience, I have quickly tired of it in the past. So torn

I am so torn right now between the Autumn decor that is everywhere and the holiday decor that is falling across the grid like a steady snowfall. I’m doing my best to squeeze in as much Autumn as I can before we slide into full blown Winter. Naturally, I will need to take a beach break along the way at some point, cuz BIKINIS! I am falling more and more in love with decor by the day. This can’t be a surprise given the influx of decor posts I’ve been dropping lately. Its not my fault. Look at the stuff in this scene! You Could Blow It

I really hate seeing posts that try to pit bloggers against creators (and vice versa), because we are all ultimately responsible for ourselves. Though I saw something on Facebook just the other day that attacked a creator for asking too much of their bloggers.  Creators have the right to ask whatever they want of bloggers. I’ve seen blogger apps that dictate what can and cannot be written on the blog. I know those are not creators I can blog for, no matter how much I love their store. We have to agree to those terms when we accept a position on their team. If the rules change once I’m already on a team, I’ve learned to discuss it with the blog manager…and if the rules are set in stone and I’m not okay with them…well, that’s when I thank them for the time we had together and I move on. I think that just like creators want fresh faces, the same is true for bloggers wanting to evolve. We are all forever changing.

I get the frustration from both sides, honestly. There’s just no way that everyone will be happy all the time. Its just not how the world works and SL is no different. End of the day, blogging is a choice. Rejections are just part of the deal. We are all human and there are bound to be hurt feelings all around from time to time. However, if we are careful, we can minimize that pain. For instance, using other peoples photos as an example of what NOT to do, especially when they don’t even blog for you…its just RUDE. *glares at a certain store that she will not name or support again* Calling out a store for never taking on bloggers with less than a thousand followers is also rude, because the whole point of blogging is to show the items to as many people as possible. So, yes, they want to know you are reaching a good amount of people…they are giving you their items for free afterall. Instead of resenting that creator, work on building up your following and delivering the best blog you can so that designers will WANT to work with you.

On the flip side, if a blogger takes to social media bashing away at particular creators or even creators in general, you’re taking a huge risk. There are creators and managers that see that and make note of what they see. They speak to one another and speaking out against brands unprofessionally is a huge faux pas. This can, in fact, ruin the credibility of said blogger. Clearly this is not guarantee, but it is a definitive risk. Its important that we think about how this could play out before we go ranting all over social media about how we’ve been personally wronged by a creator. We need to be absolutely sure that we are not over reacting or taking something too personally.

Had to have it!

I don’t talk about how much I absolutely love books, but I do. Not just reading them, but holding them…owning them. They look amazing on the shelf to me…in stacks…I swear I could live in a book lined room. When electronic reading devices hit the market, I knew it would be great for some. As books can and do take up a lot of room. I’ll admit, I did get one and I read several books on it. I enjoyed the newness of it, but after a while I began to miss the feel of having an actual book in my hands. The feel of the paper between my fingers. The subtle sound of a page being turned. Using a book mark…no dog eared pages for me, my friend. The smell  of the book will tell you if its old, new, or borrowed. I love that smell. Anyway, I digress…you see, a few weeks ago, Satomi (Foxcity) asked on Facebook about our favorite books. I said mine, not thinking much of it, but in the process found out that Erin Morgenstern had written another book since then. Not only did I find my next book, but Foxcity just released this amazing backdrop in their mainstore and my book is on the shelf! I had to have it and you will definitely see it again!

Yes, you are seeing more pink in my posts. Ya know, I never said I hated pink. I actually do like it. In fact, my bedroom in real life has a fair share of soft pink, accompanying by lots of gray/silver, a black rug that covers the majority of my floor, and dark burgundy walls. So the pink decor is not a massive stretch for me. Take a good look at the items in this photo, because Lagom has done the cutest Babygirl gacha for Equal10. There’s an entire skybox, which I didn’t show fully here, but there’s an upstairs and downstairs with gorgeous plate glass window so you can have your skybox and an incredible view. Now, don’t let the name confuse you…this is for the adult babygirls out there, not the kids. We’ve got adult animations in both the bed and the sofa, plus a couple of toy boxes that aren’t exactly holding dolls and trucks. There’s a cute little rug, as well as an assortment of condoms…and to make sure you sleep soundly, two dream catchers, which I’ll admit don’t show up very well in my photo. I think what I love most about this gacha set is that this is one of those machines that no matter what you pull, you’re going to love it.

Also, those adorable little bunnies are one the latest from MishMish and you can find those at Kustom9. You can hold them close, carry them in one hand, or set them out as decor. They also come in a nice array of soft colors. I carried one of them around all day and I swear it just made me feel better. Yes, I am a sucker for cute animals…whether stuffed or animated.

A Warning

Sometimes I think that people like me should come with a warning. I mean, in my mind there are walls and barbed wire all around my heart, but there are no signs. I never considered it until just now.
