Okay, the Autumn bug has bitten me and the bite is infected! I can’t seem to stop! I am loving all the amazing Fall creations out there. Alright, let’s face it. I will stop, cuz HALLOWEEN! Seasonal Confusion

Well, its still hotter than hell where I live and getting hotter by the day, which is completely insane. The predicted temperatures for September 30th are 95°f/35°c!!! That’s not right!! However, Autumn is setting in over the grid and I am loving it. I am more than happy to decorate and explore, pretending that its Fall…so long as I’m at my desk. *laughs* This cockamamey weather can suck an egg! Of course, I complain about the heat, but come wintertime…while my friend, Dusty, is dealing with 6ft of snow, I’ll be sitting pretty with no ice or snow in sight. Oh it will be cold, no doubt about that, but we won’t be shoveling snow. Even if we get some, it won’t likely last more than a few hours.
In the meantime, I’ll suffer through Mother Nature’s seasonal confusion and wait for the temperature to drop. As soon as it does, I can break out my apple cinnamon candles, my cardigans, and my favorite cozy sweaters.

Salem is Back!!!

Okay, this is hands down my favorite of the Prism Events events! Every year, they put together the most amazing event for the month of October. The set up of the event itself is pretty epic. The designers that participate pull out all the stops. Some people say that Christmas is the most magical time of the year, but lets be serious. Halloween is the really magic time! The event will open on Saturday, September 28 and run until Thursday, October 31. If you like Halloween or the supernatural even a little bit, this is an event you do not want to miss. Seriously, at the very least, you’ve got to check out the sim and explore. You won’t regret it!!

Lady Garden

I really wonder where the term “lady garden” came from. Like who look at a woman’s genitalia and thought, “Wow, that looks like a garden!” Okay, maybe it came from the fact that men can plant their seed, but seriously? Lady garden? Naturally, this led me to think of other superfluous names for the female genitals…such as: Vulvarine, Bearded Clam, Meat Curtains, Flower, Furburger, Muff, Fish Lips, Taco, Honey Pot, Beaver, Vajayjay…I mean, this list seems rather endless. Now, I understand a few of these. Meat curtains…I mean…if you’ve seen enough porn or nude pics on the internet (don’t act like you haven’t)…then you’ve seen a few that fit this description perfectly. Flower…yeah, I mean even Georgia O’Keeffe made me people ask what was she really painting. But someone please explain how it got one of my personal favorites…Beaver! I mean, I like that term, because it sounds cute, but its a buck-toothed furry creature with a big flat tail. I mean, I get the correlation with men’s having wood, but the vagina doesn’t exactly gnaw it up and turn it into a dam! Okay, so lady garden…*looks down*…I mean, mine doesn’t feel like a garden…its not full of dirt and snails and weeds.

Well, my favorite month of the year is right around the corner and I am super stoked.  As I’m sure some have noticed, I’ve been tapping into my dark side a lot more lately and I’m loving the results. As October sneaks up on us  like a ghost in the night, I’m so excited to have even more reasons to tap into that darkness within me. It’s funny, I feel more alive when I tap into that darkness. It’s almost as if trying to tap into that sunshine feeling that so many of my photos have done….makes me more depressed. Perhaps I’m just denying the real me by trying to be sunshine and lollipops. My name is Sadystika, afterall….there’s clearly a very dark, ominous side to me. Shall I set her free?

Gag me with a spoon??

I’m slowing getting myself back on track. I’m trying really hard to battle my depression with everything I’ve got. My inner demons will not win and in the infamous words of ever valley girl in history, I say to them, “Totally gag me with a spoon!” As I sit here laughing at that phrase, I have to wonder how THAT became such a popular saying. Like first who was wanting to be gagged and why a spoon. I mean there are so many better options. Did she want to be gagged at the back of her throat, like when you’re trying to make yourself puke? Is a spoon easier than your finger? I mean, I guess it would be…I wonder if that works. I just don’t keep a spoon handy in the bathroom, so…not something I would’ve ever tried. If that’s not the kinda gag, she wanted…why not opt for a ball gag or some other version of similar type gags? Well, clearly, I’m getting back on track of going off track…cuz this is not where I was going when I started writing. Oh well, y’all should be used to it by now.

Escape

When I was taking this picture, I was reminded of what an active imagination I had as a child. For years, whenever I would take a shower, I would pretend that I was showering in a waterfall. I would pretend that my shampoo, conditioner, soap…that it was all products from the jungle like coconuts and wild fruits. *laughs* I know it sounds silly, but I really used to love it. I suppose there was a part of me that just wanted to escape the living hell that was my life at the time. I wanted to be stranded on an island far away from everyone I knew at the time. I just wanted to get away from my life…even if it was just for a twenty minute shower.
