Not So Innocent

So, its no secret that I like hanging out at FMD. Every Saturday they have events with prizes. I don’t dress up hoping for a prize, I just dress up, because it’s fun. So, this past weekend the theme was fetishes. Now, I’m not innocent by a long shot and I would consider myself to enjoy some pretty kinky stuff, but as for an actual fetish? I’m not sure I have one. According to dictionary.com a fetish is:

1.  an object regarded with awe as being the embodiment or habitation of a potent spirit or as having magical potency.
2. any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion
3. Psychology. any object or nongenital part of the body that causes a habitual erotic  response or fixation.

Number 3, which I underlined, seems to be the most recognized definition. While there are things I like quite a bit, I can’t call any of them habitual. However, I had lots of cute stuff and put together this little outfit and called myself a fuck bunny, having no clue what that actually meant. Mind you, I didn’t go marching (or hopping…tehehe) into the club announcing that I was a fuck bunny. I only told a few friends and we all giggled. However, I decided to look up the definition and being a slang term, I knew the best place to find my answer would indeed be none other than the Urban Dictionary. Here’s their definition:

1. A cute innocent looking girl that is a maniac in bed.
2. That sweetheart in the HR department who you know would hump you raw given the opportunity.
3. A virginal, often religious, girl who grew up in the country sheltered by her mother that turns into a complete nympho in bed late in high school.

I don’t know how innocent looking I am, but I won’t dispute the rest of definition #1. I don’t work in HR and while I might hump someone raw if given the opportunity, it wouldn’t just be anyone. As for #3? Yeah, definitely not me. So, there you have it…perhaps you learned something new today, perhaps you didn’t. I know I sure did. I still work with more fashion designers than decor, but I am slowly but surely building up the decor side of things. I fall more and more in love with decor with each scene I create. I tend to spend more time on my decor scenes and sometimes I get more attached to them than I should. This is one of those. I’ll probably remove the shower, the puddle, and the clothes on the floor….perhaps even the shelf behind the tub and the decor on it. That’s manly so I can save prims and space. Just don’t be surprised if you see this bathroom as a background for a fashion shot I do later.

I’m Going to Die!

Where does time go? I swear it was just March like two days ago and now we’re heading into June? Ugh. For the life of me, I will never understand people who claim they’re bored. Who has time to be bored? Not me, that’s for sure! I can only hope that this entire summer goes by so quickly. Its already hotter than a blister bug in a pepper patch! Seriously, its 90*F/32*C at noon on May 26! Summer hasn’t even officially started yet. Y’all pray for me, I’m going to die this summer!

Just Rambling

Well, Flickr is being an official pain in the arse. I think most bloggers are on edge as Flickr maintenance is really affecting our stats. In the meantime, we still have deadlines to meet and gorgeous items to blog. Flickr will not hold us back, not for long. We’ll find a way to promote our blogs on one form of media or another. In fact, now is the perfect time to look at some of the alternatives other bloggers use, like Instagram. I don’t use it much and I’m pretty traditional with what I do use. Blah blah…I’m just rambling this morning, cuz I don’t feel great and I have lots to do. So, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and get some fierce shopping done.

Photobombed!

So, I had on the outfit I wanted to blog and I knew I wanted to shoot my photo from the side. I thought it would be awesome if I was looking out at a flat desert. Off I went in search of the perfect location. I had saved a landmark recently from a photo I saw on flickr and decided to give it a shot. The location was perfect and I was ready to line up my shot, when I got an IM from a friend of mine asking if I’d moved onto the sim. Well, no, I didn’t even realize it was residential until he said that. The next thing I know, he’s photobombing my picture and now he’s forever going to be in my blog! Thanks, Noizy, for lining up so perfectly beside me!
BTW, if you don’t know Noizy, I suggest you locate him inworld and check out his mad DJ skills. He live mixes his music and while he does it, he’s streaming live on Twitch. And ladies? He’s not the least bit hard on the eyes..*winks*
