Devil Inside

I can’t speak for anyone other than myself, but when I say that there’s a dark side to me that most people will never really see or know, I mean it. Certain truths have a way of making their way into the light and sometimes it is those very facts that trigger a rage so pure. This rage is what most people would consider evil or even the work of the devil. Ah, but I don’t believe in evil or the devil. I believe we are all quite capable of being monsters when pushed far enough. No one knows what another person might actually do until they’ve done it. Think the awful things you see on the news can’t or won’t happen to you? You are wrong. Terrible, horrendous things happen to wonderful and innocent people every day. What makes you so special? To lower your chances, I suggest you treat people with care, because you never know when you’ll trigger the “devil inside.”

There’s just something about a new pair of shoes that will light up your day, provided they fit right and don’t hurt your feet. Luckily, in SL, that is never an issue. Exactly What I Need

This has been an absolutely insane week. Last weekend was bad enough, but it only led to a week full of disappointments. People never cease to amaze me. It almost seems as if the people I really want to believe in, people I once looked up to…are the ones that have let me down the most. I saw a meme earlier this week that read something like, “A this point, I’m more surprised by the people that stay than I am by the people that leave.” At least that was the general idea, might not be the exact words, but close enough. These days, I’m more surprised by the people that don’t try to stir up shit. Those are hard to find and its why I rarely leave my platform anymore.
I’ve got a few good friends, both male and female and that’s exactly what I need.

Shit Happens, Just Don’t Forget To Flush

When I was a tiny little girl, dragging my dolls around by one arm, my mother would tell me to treat others the way I wanted to be treated. She used my dolls as an example and asked how I’d like to be dragged around like that. The naturally born smart ass that I am, I simply said, “I dunno, wets twy it!”
After rolling her eyes and sighing, she sat me down and went over the golden rule until I understood it. I lived my life that way all the way through middle school. Along the way, I learned that just because I did that, did not mean that people would treat me the way I wanted to be treated. At the same time, my father decided to teach me a different lesson. He told me to keep treating others the way I want to be treated, but to accept other’s behavior as if they were treating me the way they wanted to be treated. Therefore, if they treated me like crap, I should treat them like crap. Thus began many years of fighting and endless drama. Thanks, Dad.
Later on in life, I learned that when people me like crap. I SHOULD treat them like crap, too. But ya know what I do with crap? I flush it down the toilet and don’t think about it again. I don’t stand around examining it, wondering anything about it. I simply flush.

p.s. I wrote this as much for me as I did anyone else, because sometimes I forget to flush, too.

So, once upon a time people didn’t mess with fairy tales too much. Once upon a time, Little Red Riding Hood was just a little country girl, whose biggest fear was a wolf that ate her granny.
