They say that dogs are a man’s best friend, and of course the term man is used quite loosely…as in mankind, humans. It was certainly true for her. No person could make her smile the way her sweet Puppers did. She could be completely herself. Her dog loved her at her worst and at her best. Whether sad or happy, Puppers loved her no matter what. There was no where else she felt so free than she did at home with her dog.
She had always laughed at the cliche’ that people would say after adopting a rescue dog, but it was true. She might have rescued a dog from the shelter, but in the end…Puppers rescued her from loneliness, from dark thoughts, from sorrow, from her inner demons…from herself.
